It's a Blue Ribbon for Rockingham's Blue Boy Burnett of Westscot Hill, aka "Brodie!"

One day before his one-year birthday, Brodie won first prize for Best of Breed in his class at the 75th Annual Montgomery County (PA) Kennel Club/AKC All-Terrier show held October, 2009 at Montgomery County Community College. It Was Truly a Family Affair..

Brodie's breeders, Ann and Art Frankewich, Martha Backstrom, Geoff Dawson, and Tom Jordan, also celebrated a first prize in the Veterans' Class won by Brodie's grandfather Ch. Rockingham's "Pal Joey." And one of Brodie's half-sisters, Royal Dragoon's Lady Madalena owned/bred by April and Dr. Dan Green, of Doylestown, PA, was "Best of Winners." Geoff Dawson was the handler.

Happy Birthday Bob!

It's Bob's 75th birthday ~ December 18th. Three-quarters of a century young. He celebrated by feeding the birds and the deer, the dogs and the cat. He got out the snow shovel and the snow blower to get ready for tomorrow's storm ~ then he went for an eight-mile bike ride. Amazing.

He's having lunch with his four fraternity brothers from Lafayette and later...well, the photo tells the rest of the story. Care to join him?

What a LuLu!

Two days prior to Brodie's Blue Ribbon day, I brought my StuffedPuppies terrier pillows, Scottie charm bookmarks, votive candle holders and Scottie wine charms to the Scottish Terrier Club of America's Independent Sweepstakes, Obedience and Rally Trials at the LuLu Masonic Temple in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Sales were great and I was able to make a donation to our club, The Scottish Terrier Club of Greater New York's rescue efforts. Thanks, Erica and Richard Cerny, and friends for all you do to help deserving Scotties find good homes! Thank you, also, to Marion and Fred Krupp for letting me share your space.

Putting on the Dog

Posing our Brodie, aka Rockingham's Blue Boy Burnett of Westscot Hill in the Puppy Sweepstakes at The Bucks County Kennel Club Show on May 2 is our breeder/handler Ann Frankewich. Our six-month-old Scottish Terrier puppy won two first prizes in this division. Prizes were also awarded by The Scottish Terrier Club of Greater New York. The BCKC all-breed dog show is held annually at Tinicum Park in Erwinna, Pa.
